A part of the nearby town, Żarki, is famous for the Sanctuary of Mary, the mother of Jesus, who is the patron of families. The sanctuary was founded by Vladislavus II of Opole who gifted the statuette of Mary in the wooden chapel as a token of gratitude for finding a pond. The gothic statuette of Mother of God is still in the main altar of the church.
The Sanctuary is surrounded by a picturesque park and the Stations of the Cross. Nearby the Sanctuary flows the Leśniówka Spring which, according to the legend, erupted thanks to the prayer of Vladislavus’s II of Opole. Water from the pond is famous for its miraculous effects.
