The Mirów Castle
The castles Mirów and Bobolice are connected not only by a picturesque rocky trail but also by a legend. The legend tells the unfortunate story of the brother Mir and Bobol, who once ruled over the two castles. After Bobol uncovered a love affair between his wife and his brother Mir, he killed his brother and confined his wife to death by bricking her up in the castle tunnel. Ever since then her ghost wanders along the walls of Bobolice, longingly looking towards the Mirów castle, awaiting the return of her lover.
At present, castle Mirów is not accessible to tourists due to maintenance works being carried out. However, its beauty can be admired from the outside, making for an equally amazing impression. Castle Mirów is only half an hour walk away from Castle Bobolice, on a trail that leads the tourist through the rocky landscapes of the Mirowsko-Bobolicka Ridge. The walk itself is a greatly popular tourist attraction.
